James J. DeSantis holds a Juris Doctorate from the Seton Hall
University School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology, with a
concentration on behavior and communication, from Rutgers
University. Following law school, Mr. DeSantis was invited to attend
The Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court and subsequently
completed its course of litigation training.
While attending law school, Mr. DeSantis served as a judicial intern to
the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, Chief Judge of the United
States Bankruptcy Court as well as the Honorable Ralph L. DeLuccia,
J.S.C. of the Passaic County Superior Court-Criminal Division. Upon
graduating from law school, Mr. DeSantis served as law clerk to the
Honorable Isabel Brawer Stark, J.S.C.(retired) of the Bergen County
Superior Court-Civil Division.
Mr. DeSantis is licensed to practice law in the state courts of New
York and New Jersey as well as in the District of Columbia. On the
federal level, Mr. DeSantis is licensed to practice law in the Southern
and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as in the District of New
Jersey. He is also designated as a Law Guardian by the State of New
Jersey to represent minors in alleged cases of child abuse or neglect
and in termination of parental rights proceedings.
He has dedicated his legal practice to providing quality, affordable
legal services in a variety of areas, including Special Education
Advocacy and Estate Planning.
